Taylon the Poet, is an Asheville activist, and community leader whose work is continually around art & action. From politics and grassroots activism to Asheville slams, she has made a name for herself in the poetry scene for her fierce tongue and fieryperformances.

She has been featured at the Nantucket Book Festival, New Moon Festival, and at the North Carolina Governor’s Mansion. After losing her business in the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Taylon turned grief into fire, following her dream of being a full-time poet. In a time of grief and uncertainty she doesn’t just perform hope she puts it in your hands until it’s so heavy you have to hand it to someone else.
